Conference Center - Capranica Theater - History of the Theater

Countless and preciously extraordinary operas of music, prose and farcical comic opera were represented at the Capranica: you need only to remember that in 1750 Carlo Goldoni viewed the first of his "Pamela maritata", written especially for this theater.
In 1751, the theater was restructured by Edgar Marescotti. A century later, in 1853, the walls were reconstructed by Gaspare Servi and in 1922 it was finally transformed into a cinema, an operation which lasted up to 2000. Today, it is the most prestigious area in the Congress Center, with a maximum capacity of 750 people, and is used for various types of events, for music as well as film showings, meetings or fashion shows.
