Sunday, February 5, is the monthly free opening of the state museums throughout Italy.

The contemporary art exhibition at the Bramante Cloister is open until February 19. The exhibition is all about love in its many facets.

The L’Ara Com’era exhibition at the Ara Pacis tells a story with visual projections to let you discover the origins of Rome. History and technology meet to take you on an experience inside ancient Rome.

From Thursday, February 16 to Sunday, February 19, a major annual event for Italian wines will take place at the Salone delle Fontane with tastings guided by Luca Maroni, plus mouthwatering workshops.

At the Vatican Museums until February 26 you can admire some sculptures by Gian Lorenzo Bernini that underwent long, careful restoration. They include angels and magnificent models made for the Chair of St. Peter, not-to-be-missed for lovers of art and sculpture.

And for architecture fans, throughout February at the MAXXI, the exhibition of the architect Álvaro Siza focuses on the relationship between architecture and the sacred. The impressive exhibition features walls three and a half meters high in a dialogue with museum spaces designed by Zaha Hadid.
